Archived from groups: alt.cellular.nokia i have an ibm thinkpd with pc suite (1.1.0) Newest PC Suite is 4.6.8 AFAIK, try to upgrade and then give it a go. I'm running IBM T42 w/Bluetooth and Infrared working just nicely. Supports all our family's phones (5100, 6610, 6100, 7600 and 9500) Just remember to configure the Connection Manager, activate your phone's Bluetooth and set it (initially) visible for all, do the pairing and give the authorization to connect your PC without confirming if you wish. Make sure that the Bluetooth is activated on the laptop also (green light on) Hope this helps, -timo. I have a Nokia 6600 phone that I wont to connect via Infrared to my PC using the PC-Suite for Nokia 6600 software. I have installed english PC Suite for 6600 version. I have a trusty 6600 (that neither slides nor folds!) but find that I can't use the normal PC Suite that is Win7 compatible; I must use a device-specific version.

How to synchronize Nokia 6600 and your computer via Nokia PC Suite Note: Please make sure you are using Nokia PC Suite for 6600 and not other versions.

Suite

There is an option within the configuration to set PC Suite to check for the 6600 on specific ports/connection methods (IR/BT/Cable) as I recall you should have an icon in toolbar which should give you this option. V1.1.0 is the latest version of PC suite for the 6600 which being a Symbian phone does not use the standard Nokia PC Suite software.

However, the device specific version doesn't support Windows 7. So I am stuck. Is there a workaround to either force the device-specific version to work on Win7 of get the 6600 to work with the normal PC Suite? Sure you can.
